Hi,
I am looking for the parents of my gggg grandfather William Whitt. I do not know much about him, but I do know that he was born about 1790 in Rowan Co., NC and married Ibby (-?-) and had a daughter Nancy Jane who married George Hatfield. I have also found that William went by Bill and several trees and records I have found say that Ibby's real name was Mary Lewis Smith or "Ibby".
Can anyone help me sort this out?
