Your family history and heritage is written on page 168 in the book, Ancestors and Descendants of William Whitt 1775-1850 Portrait of an American Family, published in 2004 by Heritage Books, Westminster, Maryland. The book is still in print. William B. Whitt's parents were William P. Whitt and Octavia Elizabeth McMahon. William P. Whitt served as a Private in the 49th Alabama Infantry Regiment during the Civil War.
