Phineas W. Whitney, b. 17 May 1844, Portland, ME, was the son of Phineas and Hannah B. (Lowell) Whitney. His lineage was Phineas W. Whitney (Phineas-7, Levi-6, Abel-5, Nathan-4, Nathaniel-3, Benjamin-2, John-1, Thomas-A).
