Hi Robert,

I am related to George Samuel Whitman. He is the brother of my Great Grandma Frances Whitman. He was born in Sheffield to Stephen Francis and Sarah Whitman (nee Sellers). I believe that he was named after both his grandfathers, one named George and the other named Samuel!

I have a bit of info on the family so if you want to get in touch and see what you would like to know! I would be very interested to know what you have on him regards his career in the army, as i don't have any. Although his niece is still alive and she probably knows a bit about it all!

Regards

Jonathan
