I believe this is the line I have been doing research on for my husband. He knew nothing about his ancestry except his grandfather's name was Charles (Charlie) Whitlock. I have found Charlie's father to be William A. (I believe the A stands for Anderson) Whitlock. He was married to Caroline Shaunce. He was in the Illinois 101 Infantry in the Civil War and joined in Murrayville, Illinois. His father's name was William Whitlock born in Kentucky around 1811 and mother's name was Ali B. Sheppard born 1808. William A. and Caroline moved to Missouri with 3 of their children and the others, including my husband's grandfather, were born in Missouri. If you have any additional information or I can help you with anything, please let me know.
