Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for responding.
I have made NO connections for my WEEDEN, WEELDON/BROWN AA/
NATIVE LINE after researching for 13yrs????
The WHITLEY info that caught my eye is from VA where my line supposedly originated.
The record is a strange one under WHITLEY/WHILDEN of which
WHILDEN is one of the spellings of my line.
The given names for this family are I think, DUTCH: ANMERY,
My own family line is tri-racial and I believe this is why
I am having so much trouble making connections---believe
some passed for white and are lost to me forever.
Have no clue why I also cannot make Native American connections either, as my ggrandmother, CHARATA BROWN, mulatto, born 1833 NC, appears to have come from nowhere.
Most of all, would so love to find ANY kin, WHATEVER COLOR!
Cannot give up now.
Warm regards,
