My grandmother was the sister of Tilitha Whitley Churchwell. When I was about 6 years old I remember attending her funeral in San Saba. Her parents were James A. Whitley and Mary Louisa Hinkle. James' parents were John Andrew Whitley and Tilitha Williams. Mary Louisa Whitley's parents were Elias Hinkle and Alsey Adeline Lewis. Elias Hinkle died in 1864 in a military hopital in Virgina during the civil war. Alsey remarried a man named Lewis Hunnicut who ultimately adopted Mary Louisa. I have photographs of all the above individuals if you would like a copy of them
