I came across this info while reseaching the Rogers line. I know how hard things like this can be to find so I decided to post it. The info is from Edgecombe Co. NC.
NOV, 1772:
Shadrack RODGERS, being brought before the court on information of Sarah
WHITLEY
for bastardy, accordingly entered into Bond of £200 with Tristram RODGERS &
William ROBERTS for the endemnification of the Parish of St. Marys.
