I am a descendant of Frederick W. Smith. Yes, he married a Carrie E. Wanzer. Carrie is the one that I am having the most difficult time with. They had children, Catherine S. and Walter Andie Smith (my grandfather) April 28, 1919 – August 2, 1997.
According to my family, Carrie had a half brother named Archie, I can’t find him either. Carrie also remarried after Frederick to a William J. Earle.
As far as Catherine’s children, Hattie and Charles, you know just as much as I do.
I have family photos of Catherine S Smith, Frank Smith, a photo of Frederick Smith with his granddaughters Barbara and Cathy, a photo of Charles Woodward, and George Henry Smith. I also have a photo of a young woman, on the back it says “Lena, sister of Walter’s grandfather” I am assuming that Lena is Charles A Smith’s sister. Any ideas?
Another photo I have is of an older man, on the back it says “Grandpa Whitford” I am assuming it is Catherine M’s father. And another photo from Christmas 1947 of an “Aunt Lillie”, any idea on this one?
I know Charles A Smith was from Germany but that is all the information I have on him.
According to my family there is a Cora Weeks and a Black foot Indian with the last name of Tarbox (I have this photo) in the family. These may be on the Wanzer side. Do these names ring any bells?

I will try to get my scanner hooked up this week so I may send you some of the photos I have.
