From the Nashua Telegraph - Nashua, New Hampshire Jan 27, 1949:
Edwin Whitford of North Haven, Conn, recently purchased the Cram farm in South Weare. Mr. Whitford worked in a factory in Connecticut for a number of years and found that it did not agree with his health. He figures that being out in the open air on a farm is what he needs. Mr. Whitford has a second-hand tractor, plows, harrows and a potato digger to cultivate his land with. He plans to make poultry his main enterprise, however.
It is said that my great-great-grandmother, Alice Louise Kilmer Benton ??? died in Clayton, MA at the home of her sister, Mary Cordelia in 1912. Alice remarried after her 1st husband William S. Benton died to a gentleman with the last name of Ryvielle/Ryvelle/Revelle. I have guardianship papers regarding her 4 children where this new last name is spelled at least 4 different ways.
Is anyone related?
