Members of my family have pieced together the following details regarding Whitford ancestors:
Richard Whitford b. 1872 in Stoke Damerel, Devon, England. He married Frances (surname unknown) and they had a son George, b. 1810 in Devon. George migrated to Canada at some stage (to Ontario, we think) and married Anne Dawson. They had a son George, b. 1835 in Canada. He migrated to Australia and married Jane Masson in 1857 at Wollongong, NSW, Australia. They had a number of children including my great grandfather William John Whitford.

I am looking for any further information or connections, particularly trying to fill in the gaps in the Canada information.

I also have more information on descendents born in Australia - can supply if needed.
