Good to hear from you.Yes I am still piddling with genealogy.The only connection we might have to George would be through a brother.The Rev. George Whitefield had only one son named John, who died at age five. Therefore if we are related, it would have to be thru a brother.
I have had some luck, I have proven that Alexanders Father and Mother were William Whitfield and Gemina Eley.They were married 21 Jul 1766.Alexander and Nancy were married on 20 Jan 1789.
