Do check the other list, the Whiteside! It seems like there were a number of responses about Pope Co., AR. Seems like there was even something about Pottsville if I have remembered correctly. I do definitely recall there being a larger number of responses when I searched by putting Arkansas in the search location on the left of the page.
I do hope you find your Margaret Emma Whitesides's parents.
One incredible thing that I have learned over the years, don't take too much stock in the way the name is spelled. I personally found that my Brashear family added the "s" whenever they chose and even spelled their name Beshear at points in time. We also have to both forgive the census takers and congratulate them at the same time for their being able to write anything similar to what the people said was their names. Goodness, some of those given names were just complicated! I hope you have fun and wish you the greatest success in finding Margaret Emma Whitesides's parents.
