MARTHA ANN MARGARET "MATTIE"8 MORROW (JAMES MORTON7, DAVID6, ROBERT5, DAVID4, DAVID3, ALEXANDER2, DAVID1)1 was born 1838 in Fayette County, Alabama2, and died 28 Sep 1870 in Fayette County, Alabama. She married WILLIAM DANIEL WARD 1865 in Fayette County, Alabama, son of THOMAS WARD and PENELOPE TAYLOR. He was born 26 May 1844 in Fayette County, Alabama, and died 12 Oct 1918 in Tribbey, Pottawatomie Co., Oklahoma.



Notes for MARTHA ANN MARGARET "MATTIE" MORROW:

Martha "Mattie" appears in the 1850 census Fayette Co Al, pg 92 age 12 living with her family. Martha appears in 1860 census Fayette Co Al pg 471, age 20 living with family. She does not appear in 1866 Alabama state census of Fayette Co so she was already married.

She last appears in the 1870 census of Fayette Co Al with husband Daniel & family. She died 28 Sept 1870 in childbirth, according to family lore of her descendants. In 1877 page 150 of her father's probate papers, Mattie is shown as M.A.M. Ward and her three children are named: Molly, James and Earnest (living with father Daniel in Cooke Co Texas).
