Thank you for reply Harry,

I am interested in John Whitely because I am working on the Allen line of my ancestor Robert Allen and want to clear up some mistakes that have been printed and prove his line back to Ralph Allen.

I also do not believe the Abigail Allen who married John Whitely was married to Ebenezer Allen (you have Seth, but think you did mean Ebenezer)because the Dartmouth marriage record does not say widow of Ebenezer. I need to check the Quaker records to see what they state.

Ebenezer Allen and Abigail Hill had son Seth Allen b. 1703, Dartmouth. He married Elizabeth Butler and had son Seth Allen b. 1734 and daughter Abigail who m. Robert Kirby.
Seth Allen b. 1703 m.2. Ann Whitely, d/o John Whitely in Dutchess Co., NY and they had Henry, Elizabeth, and Lydia Allen.

From information on other daughters of John Whitely, I think Ann was probably the youngest child. Eva
