I am researching Kinchen Nelson, is in the 1850 census NC.
There are two of them. The one Im looking for is married to a Marth in the census, the one that I keep running into is the other one. I dont see how they could have both have had a wife named Martha and both named two of their son's William and James. Do you have any proof that he was married to Elizabeth Whitehurst? Any chance she might have been his only wife?
