Richard Whitehurst C1761, Staffordshire - Help!

I've currently traced my tree back to a Richard Whitehurst marrying a Dorothy Cope on 15/05/1786 in Cheadle. I've found 7 seven children born to them so far.
On the 1841 UK cenus Dorothy was down as being a Publican.

Can anyone help me go back any further? I would really appreciate it.
