I have 2 Thomas Whitehurst's on my tree, one born 1827 & the other born 1826 they both married women named Anne ,one in 1847 & the other in 1848. Both were born in Biddulph.
Possibly the one you are looking for was Thomas born Sept 23 1827 son of Charles Whitehurst & Anne Cottrell ,Charles & Anne had 4 sons that I know of ,they were John (1825),Thomas (1827),Charles (1831) & William (1834). Unfortunately I don't know much else. Thomas (1827) married Anne Shallcross/Shawcross Oct 10 1848 @ St.Lawrence Church Biddulph. there my story ends. Due to the close proximety of the two Thomas's & their Ann's, it has been difficult/ impossible to say for sure who their children were.Nor do I know anything about any marriages etc. for his siblings.
If you feel that this Thomas is the one you are looking for. I do have Anne Shallcross' parents names & her siblings & their descendants.
I would be interested in their descendants if any.
Evan
