Boy, are you in luck, Kitty!Hilliary Whitehurst was born 12/6/1770 in PA County, and died there on 1/5/1837. He was married to Lydia Simmons by Rev Wm. Mouns at the London Bridge church on 8/18/1798. Their children were: 1. Mary who died in infancy. 2.Henry S. 1/1801-10/2/1880, b. PA County, died, War Gap Tenn. 3. Sally, died an infant. 4. Wm. M., b. PA, 12/11/1804, d. Santa Clara County, Ca., 3/9/1887 5. Sally S., d. 1874. 6. Lydia, married John Dey, d. 1867 7. Dennis, d. Lexington, Mo. about 1868 8.Hilliary O., Died at R and L Junction in Ray County in 1882 or 1883 at the age of 66. The info that I have before Hilliary is pretty sketchy, but here it is: John Whitehurst came from England (probably Wales) with his wife (nee Goff) who was a "high born" Scottish Lady and settled in Virginia.( The maiden name might be "Goss".) One of their Children, Anthony, had a son, William M. who was born in PA County who was married to Amy M. Clanen (?).This couple were the parents of Hilliary.
