I have a copy of a document from the Archives of the Texas General Land Office listing J. H. Whitehurst as a member of Captain Loves Company, lst. Regiment, lst Brigade - Enrolled June 4, 1836 and enlisted for duration of the war. Remarks indicate that he was sick. He received grants of land for his service. Looking for anyone who might have information on him. Thanks. Mary
