Hi Earl. You seem to have a lot of info regarding the Staffordshire Whitehursts. I wonder if you have any info on the `Manchester` Whitehursts??

William Whitehurst was born 1845 and married Jane Williams 8 Feb 1868 who was born 1846. I cannot go any further back than this so I do hope somebody can help me. I believe they lived in Manchester, England and William was a Coal Merchant. They had 7 children, Tom (b 20 June 1868), William (b 9 Jan 1871), Lizzy (b 12 Dec 1872), Albert (b 14 Oct 1874), Fred (b 27 July 1879), Arthur (b 8 Feb 1885) and Sarah (b 31 May 1886). As a matter of interest, William (b 9 Jan 1871), married Emily Hough (b 1876) and Sarah (b 31 May 1886), married Tom Skeer (b 4 June 1883).

Any help whatsoever would be appreciated.I believe the 1845 birth date of william whitehurst may be wrong as the most likely father would be John Whitehurst who was married to Elizabeth
Stephen Whitehurst
