I'm descended from Esther Whitehurst (b. c1725) and her husband Robert Read (c1720-1794). Esther was the daughter of Samuel Whitehurst\Whitehouse (c1700-1756) who in turn was the son of Robert Whitehurst (c1665-1741) who was the son of Robert Whitehurst (c1635-1679) who was the son of Richard Whitehurst (1606-1654). Drop me an email and we can compare notes. Most of my research has been on Whitehursts in NC and primarily prior to 1850.
