Dear Mr. Rylance,
I am Joel Whitehurst's sister, and I am very interested in further information concerning the P. Anne Co. Whitehursts. I'd love to know about Wm. and Amy's ancestors, and about the Va. Whitehursts in general. Do you have photocopies of the deed you mentioned? I wonder who the California Whitehurst was. I am also wondering if anyone has compiled info about the Whitehursts, in addition to info re. lineage. My Great Aunts (Mabel, Estelle (Hettie) and Sadie Whitehurst, dtrs. of Joel Shipp Whitehurst born in Mo., whose parents moved there from Virginia)) were so proud of the family. It would be great to hear about some of the accomplishments and experiences of the family members--what did they do? I remember hearing that one of our relatives was associated with Wm. Penn, and one was involved with Davy Crockett in his Tn. days...rumor? truth? I'd love to know. Thanks for your reply re. the McClanens.
Best Wishes, Anne
