In 1979 a relative visit the Baker Cemetery in Hernando Co, Fl. and she said Jincy's headstone said died September 22, 1866. She also took pictures, but they are not very clear. I copied from the Tampa Library a newspaper article about the accidental death of Mr. Baker's wife. It reads:" We regret to hear that a Mr. Baker of Hernando County, a short time since, caused the death of his wife by administering poison to her instead of medicine as he intended. Such mistakes frequently occur, and should teach us caution." Fla. Penisular 10-6-1866, page 3, column 1. My Grandmother was told by her father of this story about Jincy, so I am sure this story in the paper is also about Jincy. I do not have any other record of her death. I saw the headstone and took pictures in 1997. You can just make out the name Jincy Baker, and the date is gone. How are you kin to her?
