Thanks so much! Some links have linked together. I never dreamed that the Hesters and Whiteheads ever connected until I found something, forget what. Must have been cenusus records that put them in the same areas in TN and NC. When I first started on the Hesters, someone told me they were from TX so I didn't pursue it because they weren't a direct line. John's son Lewis married my great gr aunt, Delcieney Prewit/Pruitt.
