From what my father, Robert Blaine Whitehair, Sr. and my aunt, Helen (Whitehair) Nestor have found out, our last name is not Native American, it is English. From what information they have gathered we've learned that there are as few as 600 households in the world with our last name. These households are located primarily in the WV-OH area and in England. I've actually seen the book with the address's of every living documented Whitehair in the world. I'm sure we all have Native American in us, I just don't think our last name is actually Native American. I'd like to know for sure.
