You and I have a connection with B.F. Whitefield and Mary Barr.

Since Mary Barr m. B.F. Whitefield 21 May 1882 Putnam Co Tn and he died on 14 Sept 1882, a few months after their marriage, do you know if Mary Barr remarried after B.F.'s death and were there any children born to her after his death a few months after their marriage.

I have been working on the BARR line, and found virtually nothing that was ever published, but a scattering of names, references, etc in four surrounding counties.

I am a great great granddaughter of Jonathan W. Barr who settled in White Co Tn ca 1811.

I have two Mary Barr's in my files who could have married B.F. Whitefield, but your posting clarified which one. The other Mary Barr was a sister-in-law to Mary who married B. F. Whitefield, and the widow of Mary's older brother, William Barr who married Mary Petty.

I know nothing of B.F. Whitefield.

I published a book August 1, 2000 that has this BARR family in it, and showing other family connections. This book is 330 pages, soft cover, forward and backward indexing which indexes the wives by both their maiden name and their married name.

Who were the parents of Louisa Thomas?
