The Whitecotton's did start out as Cotton's, going back to William Cotton in the early 1500's from England. The Whitecotton's have lived and still do live all over the country. The started in Stafford, Va. the some went to N.C. some to S.C., Tn., Ga. mostly in the North East part of Ga. and then to Al. and so on till they are spread all over. I have started a Whitecotton Association. The initial joining fee is $25.00 and an annual fee of $10.00. This is a non-profit organization. The money we raise from dues will go to print and send out a Whitecotton Family Association Journal. This Journal will have information on the Whitecotton family and Reunion dates, time, & places. Also the money will go to send out copies of info to whoever wants copies of marriage license, etc. If you or anyone you know would like to join the Association, please email me at: clblevins2000@aol.com. I also need officers. I have an Editor, president and secretary & treasurer. I still need Vice Pres., Asst. Editor. Research Coordinator, Reporters ( to report on family reunions around the counrty), Auditor and a Chaplin. I am working on getting up a Whitecotton Family Association Seminar-Reunion for next year, 2002. I will post everything when I have all the details.
It is very important that the Whitecotton Ancestors be remembered.
