FYI from a look-up that I did for someone: "Annals of St. Michael's Parish in Loramie (Berlin), Shelby County, Ohio in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati From 1838 to 1903..." by the Rev. Wilhelm P. Bigot, Shelby Co. Anzeiger, 1907 This book has 2 separate parts...the original German and the translated to English part. I will give you info from the translated English part, as I don't speak German. Among the original pioneers of 4 June 1838" "Henry Weisbrod" p. 120 "At the beginning of the village of Loramie a few houses could be counted. Some English and some German farmers were settling in the neighborhood. The first German farmer's name was Weissbrodt (Whitebread). Usually he was called the 'Dutchman'. He lived on the south side of the reservoir, where now Adam Daniel has his farm." p. 129 "Weisbrodt, as said earlier, was the first German immigrant of the parish; he came around 1830. From then on mostly Germans settled here; by and by all the English were bought out." I have no other information on this family. They are not of my lineage or family connections as far as I am aware. Notify Administrator about this message?
