Hi Dennis

Very definitely the spelling is WHITEBREAD. I have noticed in some lines the spelling changes back and forth between WHITBREAD and WHITEBREAD, but not in mine.

The earliest I have, thanks to Steven WHITEBREAD of Switzerland (swhitebread@pop.agri.ch), is John WHITEBREAD, my 5th great grandfather, born about 1723. His son, also John WHITEBREAD, was christened 20 Nov 1748 in Chiddingstone, Kent, England.

I will be happy to exchange information with you. I hope we can establish a connection.

Cheers Barrie
