Good idea to check for children, although of course they may have had them born elsewhere. I have come across several instances of couples being "of this parish", who clearly were not. They may have just lived there a few weeks, or lied, or it may just have been assumed. Another possible source I did think of, but haven't checked out, is the banns at Enfield. Banns were supposed to be recorded not only in the parish of marriage, but also in the home parish of anyone from elsewhere. Hence evidence of Edward's marriage might be found in the banns at Enfield.
