The 1891 census gives: RG12/2514/093/046 WHITBREAD Thomas Head 28 Toddington Beds WHITBREAD Ada Wife 24 Loughborough Leics WHITBREAD Jane Dau 4 Loughborough Leics WHITBREAD William Son 2 Loughborough Leics WHITBREAD Edward Father(widower) 65 Toddington Beds WHITBREAD George Brother 23 Toddington Beds RG12/2514/094/047 WHITEBREAD Edward Head 34 Toddington Beds WHITEBREAD Elizabeth Wife 36 Loughborough Leics WHITEBREAD Herbert Son 9 Loughborough Leics WHITEBREAD Edward Son 7 Loughborough Leics WHITEBREAD Ernest Son 5 Loughborough Leics This family is also in the 1901 census, all under Whitbread. The ages seem to match fairly well with the 1881 family and no other 1881 family matches. In 1871 the same family was in Toddington under Whitebread, including George, aged 3 (all born Toddington). In Toddington they were straw plaiters then Grooms in 1881 to Bricklayers and Basket Makers in 1891 and 1901. Harriet died 1889, aged 61 and Edward in 1902, aged 74. The Toddington Whitbreads that I have followed so far all came from Eversholt, Beds (back to the 16th century). Steven Notify Administrator about this message?
