Whitebread-Spencer-Radcliffe connections

I have been trying to prove or disprove the Alice Whitebread and Gerard Spencer connection ot the Radcliffes. It would be great because it would go through the Radcliffes to Staffords, etc. But ot looks like it is not to be through Edward son of Humphrey Radcliffe and his wife Isabel Harvey. The Book of Radcliffes by Charles P. Hampson, 1940, University Press, Edinburgh agrees that Humphrey and Isabel had a son Edward but he did not have any children eventhough he had three wifes and lived to be 91. The book is very specific that he had no children and does list his three wifes, the last two he married when he was older. Both Allen County Library, Fort Wayne and Newberry Library, Chicago have this book if anyone wants to check the information. There are several other Edwrad Radcliffes in the book abut I did not find any children listed for them. Of course this book is not a primary source but it does seem to be very thorough.
