I think Edward's line ties in with my Whitear branch.

Edward is apparently the youngest of William and Elizabeth Whitear's children. The eldest, William, was born in 1830 and the John mentioned was born a few years after.

There was only one surviving daughter - Emma - and I wonder whether Edward was actually an illegitimate son of hers, or possibly of one of the brothers as he was born when Elizabeth was 48.

I am building a fairly comprehensive tree on ancestry dot com which is set to allow public viewing. But if either of you guys could give me more detail on the line from Edward I would be grateful.

Obviously happy to answer questions where I can.

Nick W.
