John, I guess you can't condense information when you are writing about family history, right? I did get the information from my husband's niece, but here is how it is written.

5. Mark was born abt 1680 in Pr. George Co. Maryland, and died May 1, 1729 in Pr. George Co , Maryland. He married Elizabeth Emmerson Feb. 13, 1711/ 12 in Baltimore Co. Maryland, daughter of James Emmerson.

Children of Mark Whiteaker and Elizabeth Emmerson is:
James Whiteaker b. Feb. 8, 1720/21, Baltimore Co., Maryland; d. Bet. 1795-1807, Madison Co. Kentucky

I guess it could be that we are talking about different men. Our niece didn't give her sources and I can't swear that they are correct. I have just started this searching and have a lot to learn. Sorry if I misled you or gave you inaccurate information. Would love to know more from you, Doris
