Kelly 'K.P.' Parker White, Jr., 83, passed away early
Tuesday morning, October 16, 2012, at Wellmont Holston
Valley Medical Center following an extended illness,
Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN.

Mr. White was born on September 7, 1929, in Scott County,
VA, and had resided the majority of his life in Clinchport,
VA. Mr. White was former owner/operator of Clinch River
Groceries (Speers Ferry) for many years. He enjoyed
reading in his spare time and always socializing with
friends and aquaintances. He was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. White was preceded in death by father, Kelly Parker
White, Sr.; his mother, Callie Dona McConnell White; and
sisters, Billie Joe Rhoten and Ella Ruth Pippen.

Kelly 'K.P.' White survivors include his loving wife of 63
years, Nellie Jane Gamble White, Kingsport, TN; a daughter,
Kallen Ann White-Lewis and husband, James (Blountville,
TN); sons, David Kelly White (Bristol, TN) and William
'Bill' White and wife, Ruth Ann (Cleveland, TN); grand-
daughters, Kathy Shockey, Tracy White, Lori Lei Ann
Russell, and Christina Woody; eight great grandchildren;
and one great-great granddaughter.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012,
from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at Scott County Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 19,
2012, at 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Evangelist
Kenneth Neeley officiating.

A graveside service will follow the funeral on Friday,
October 19, 2012, at Oak Hill Memorial Park with family
and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers
will be Jeffrey Pippin, Robert Pippin, Lee Pippin, Earl
Pippin, Jr., Jack Good, and Joe Good.

Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the
White Family.
