Ann Garner and John White (b. 1720) sailed aboard the Earl of Donegal from Belfast to Charleston SC in 1767 and settled in Chester County, South Carolina. tested one of John's patrilineal descendants at the Y-DNA67 level. You may see his results at .

We want to compare his test results to those of another patrilineal descendant of John WHITE, the more distantly related to him the better.

Please contact Ysearch ID # 2N6W5 via the form at or me via t2b.r1b1b AT gmail. com if you know of another patrilineal descendant of John WHITE who has had his Y-DNA tested, or who is willing to have a Y-DNA test.

We also want to test someone with the surname White who lives in Broughshane, County Antrim Ireland in order to confirm stories that John WHITE came from that small town.

More information about this White family is at:

Please make sure that the company with the largest database tests your DNA (regardless of the price). If you tested with a different company, please switch. Your test results are worthless unless you can compare them with those of other people.

Kinfolk match each other closely at the Y-DNA67 level.
