GREENWOOD, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Richard White, 56, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Brother Joe Bob Alexandria. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at the funeral home.
Richard was born on July 3, 1953, in Shreveport, LA, to Heyward and Eunice White. He passed away on September 26, 2009, in Shreveport. He was a resident of Greenwood, LA, and graduated from Fair Park High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Jacob Allen and Richard Allen, Jr.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 26 years, Sidney Elizabeth Hooper White; daughters, Mischelle Johnson, Shannon Mathews and husband Lance, Sarah White and fiancee' Jeremy Young; grandchildren, Hailey Amarissa Mathews, Chelsie Elaine Mathews, Malana Marie Young, Jeremy Dewayne White; and siblings, Carolyn White Vercher of Houston, Texas, Howard Ray White and wife Elaine of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Terry "Sam" White and wife Brenda of Greenwood, LA. Extended family, In Laws, Frank and Pat Hooper, Kim and Jeff Remedies and sons. Also his special side-kick and loving pooch Lucy.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Young, Jeff Remedies, Branden Remedies, and Ryan Remedies, David Vercher. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
