Dixie Irene Wampler White, 102, of Clinton, TN, passed
away Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Methodist Medical
Center. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. H. White;
son, Briscoe K. White; parents, Andrew and Ida Bell
Wampler; brothers, Mose, Charlie, Everette, Jack, Tom,
Clarence, and Jim Wampler; sisters, Eva Doggen and
Florence Murray.
Surviving are sons, Noah White and wife Joy of Clinton,
TN, Larry White and wife Linda of Clinton, TN, Robbie
White and wife Linda of Clinton, TN; daughters, Dean
Hensley and husband Morris of Lexington, NC, and Roma
Disney of Clinton, TN; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-
grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 18,
2009, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m., in the
chapel with Rev. Larry Watts officiating.
Interment will be Sunday, April 19, 2009, at 2 p.m., at
Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clinton, TN.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the
arrangements.
