Joseph White b 10 Oct 1780 VA or VA, died 6 Dec 1861 Lafayette, MO. Married Susannah Smith.
They moved from TN to Lafayette Co MO in 1832. Joseph's Will dated 23 Feb 1860, probated 7 April, 1862.

John White Jr. b 1754 from Un Co SC, died age 104 in 1857 Polk Co TN. He was a postmaster at Dandridge, Polk Co TN in his late 70's. He served in RW. His and his father's, [John White Sr] are mixed in same folder at National Archives. John's pension S 3539. Entered Rev War from Un Co SC. Paid in 1857 back to 1831 @ $35.27 per annum.
When John was serving in RW, he was at Hightowers, GA and met Nancy [Hildebrand?] close to Chief. Told her he would come for her after RW and he did. He was given 5000 acres in Polk Co TN area from her Indian Chief father. I have also heard her mother or grandmother was Nancy Ward, the famous Indian princess???? But Nancy was Indian.
John and Nancy and dau. Nancy are buried at Rock Creek Cem. in Polk Co TN. Dau. married John Cass, Indian, magistrate in Polk Co. John Cass applied for his father in law's pension for him. John White was blind and helpless at death [age 104!].
