it is, once more, salade was a name of bucks co. pa.
jacob, s/o frederick salada and barbara, born jan. 22; bp july 17, 1748. wits; jacob weissel and margaret schrist. (frederick sallade came from the canton of basle, switzerland. emigrated by ship "queen of denmark", at phila. oct. 4, 1751, naturalized sept. 1765. he belonged to a french huguno family of good lineage, long established in the ancientprovince of provence, but owing to th persecution became exiles in switzerland. the bessonet family that settled in bristol, bucks co., about 1720, came from the dauphiny, the adjoining province of provence).
