Emilie, My ggggrandfather was James White b 1772/1792 in NC/TN and d in Monroe Co. Tn. Sept 25. 1863. according to information given to me this summer the father of James is William White b bet 1760-1770 Catawaba River, Rowan Co. NC m Sarah? Could this be your Husband's line? His parents were Moses White and Mary McConnell. They had 5 children. Moses first married Eleanor Lawson. They had 12 children including James White that foumded Knoxville, Tn. and married Mary (Polly) Lawson. The faather of Moses was Moses from Ireland to PA in 1722, then moved to Iredell, Rowan Co., NC in 1752. (These dates may not be correct) I hope this is your husband's family. Then William M.
