Hi Rick, I am astounded by your truly exhaustive list of the White family! So I am almost embarrassed to ask you this question, but I am desperate! I descend from the White family of Union/Anson counties of NC several times over. But I'm stuck on one family. I know that one of my ancestors was a James White (but which one??) who married Penelope Benton on 1 April, 1819. Penelope was the daughter of William Benton (4 October 1750-1828) and his wife Sarah Harris Davis. My Penelope Benton (who married James White) was born 3 November 1795 in Union or Anson county, NC. The list I have for James and Penelope Benton White's children is as follows:
Jeremiah White
William Henry White
Addison White
Augusta White
Mary Jane White
James Osburn White
If you could give me any help at all in figuring out the parents of this James White I would be so very grateful--this thing has been driving me crazy!!!
