In the name of God, Amen: I, Obediah Hooper, of the State of Georgia and the County of Franklin, being sickly and weak of body but sound mind and perfect memory, thanks be to God, for the same and calling to mind the fraility and uncertainity of human life, have made, ordained, constituted this to be my last Will and Testament, hereby revoling all other wills by me heretofore made and declaring this only to be my Last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, Viz:
First; I give and bequeath my soul to God, my Creator, hoping throuhg the dediation of Jesus Christ to receive remission of all my sins, my body I leave to be decenly buried at the direction of my executors hereafter named, and as to what worthly estate it hath pleased God to bestown on me, I give andd bequeath in the following manner, Viz:
I give and bequeath to my daughter, Mary White, one Negro boy named Boy, and son of Jude.
Item: I give and bequeath to my son James, one hundred dollars, Thomas Hooper, John Hooper, Obediah Hooper and Matthew Hooper, my son, to pay James twenty-five dollars each of them.
Item- I give and bequeath to my son, Wililam, one Negro named Jim.
Item- I give and bequeath to my son, Obediah, one Negro girl named Jamy, the daughter of Judge.
Item- I give and bequeath to my son, Richard, one Negro girl name Tamar.
Item- I give and bequeath to my daughter, Nancy Goodlett, one Negro woman named Anaka and her child, Lidia.
Item- I give and bequeath to my son, John, one Negro named ___de?
Item- I give and bequeath to my son, Matthew, one Negro man named Ned.
Old Jim to be sold to some of the Legatees. All of my other property to be sold to the best of advantage, giving a reasonable ??? of credit, and to what it shall fall short of two hundred and twenty dollars, then the above Negroes have to be hired out until such balance shall be madeup.
Item- The above Negroes together with all their future increase to them and their heirs forever, and I do also appoint and nominate my beloved sons; James and John Hooper, my executors of this my last Will & Testament, hereby revolking and disanulling all will or wills by me hereafter made, and hereby declaring this to be my Last Will & Testament in writing. Where of I have thereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this sixteenth day of July in the Year of our Lord eighteen hundred [1800].

Peter Rucker b 1661 Bavaria, died 23 Feb 1743 St. Mark's Parish, Orange Co VA. He was a planter. He settled in VA in 1690.
Estate;
His will is dated 18 Jan 1743 and probated 23 Feb 1743. It reads;
In the name of God, Amen. I, Peter Rucker, of St. Mark's Parish in the County of Orange, planter, being weak in body but of pursued mind and memory knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last Will & Testament in manner following;
In Primis, I do order that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid and satisfied.
Item- I lend unto my beloved wife, Elizabeth Rucker, all my estate both real and personal during her natural life and after her decease to be divided in the following manner;
Item- I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter, Margaret Tinsley, and my son in law, Isaac Tingsley, a Negor boy named Yerkshire to them and their heirs forever.
Item- I give and bequeath unto my beloved son, Ephraim Rucker, a Negro girl named Phillis to him and his heirs forever.
Item- I give and bequeat unto my beloved daughter, Ann Cook, and my son in law,Shem Cook a Negro girl named Jeney to her and her increase and their heirs forever.
Item- I do desire that all the remainder of my estate both real and personal after my wife's deceaseas aforesaid to be sold by ny Exr. hereafternamed at public auction to the highest bidder on six months credit for Current Money to be equally divided amongst my beloved children by names as followth; Thomas Rucker, Elizaebth Pierce, William Rucker, Mary Offell, James Rucker, Ephraim Rucker and ann Cook and to their heirs forever, and lastly I do COnstitute and appooint my beloved sons; James Rucker and Ephraim Rucker to be my Whole and Sole Executors of this my last Will & Testament hereby revolking and Disannuling all other Testament and Wills made by me. Made Confirming this and no other to be my Last Will & Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of January, 1743.
