Hi, i was wondering if anyone had any information on my family. My last name is lamphier, however in all actuallity i am a whitcomb. this is do to the fact that when my grandfather was born he was givin his mothers last name instead of his fathers, thus stoping the family name of whitcomb to lamphier. i am from stueben county in ny and was wondering if anyone knew anything about this family. My grandfathers name was robert lamphier (supposed to be robert whitcomb) and my grandmother miranda lamphier. please help if you can...hey mabey were are family and you dont know it...haha!
