I do not know if this is the appropriate place to post this message, however 'here goes'! I did not know Edith, but my maiden name is Whitcher and I am from Massachusetts as well. My father's father died before I was born and I have little to no information on the Whitcher family or to whom I may be related. What I do know is that my Father's father's name was Norman, I think his middle was Elliott, but I could be wrong. I do not know where he was born or grew up. I do know that at some point he married a woman named Betsy with the name Carter attached,( I don't know if Carter is a maiden name or a middle name, she has since passed.) Norman and Betsy had three children, Christopher (my father), Nancy and Cynthia. I think they resided mostly in New Hampshire (Franklin or Laconia, I think). My father and mother married in Washington state and moved back to Mass. where my mother is from. I was born in Gardner, Mass and lived there through High School. I now reside in Florida and would appreciate any information you have about the Whitcher family, pertinent to me or not. Thank you.
