Hi fellow Whitchers
I am also a Whitcher living in Portsmouth UK, and have been researching my family name. I have managed to get back to Eling New forest, 1741 Isaac Whitcher son of William & Ann Whitcher. There seems to be a lot of children born to a William Whitcher (no mothers name given) from 1697 to 1744, ive not managed to work out if this was several generations or just one family,
I can give a list if anyone is interested, there is a John Whitcher born 1714,in Eling, son of William, if that helps anyone.
