Jeremiah Whitcher b. Jan. 29, 1790 Warren, NH, son of John Whitcher/Whittier and Sarah Marston, who married Persis Craig, have a son Horace O. Whitcher b. May or June 28, 1825 b. prob. Warren, NH. Horace married Eliza Rachel Jones and later resided in Barton, VT.
There also is a Reuben Whitcher b. Apr. 5, 1794 Northfield, NH who married Dorothy Osgood who had a son Horace Whitcher b. Sept. 1825. Need to know which Horace married Eliza Rachel Jones. Believe Jeremiah is his father but want to be sure.
Also, did Horace O. Whitcher have any siblings and what does the "O" stand for in his middle name.
Does anyone know why the name was changed from Whittier to Whitcher?
