In my family I have a John Whitbread married to an Elizabeth who had a son Joseph in 1820. Joseph was married to a Mary and migrated to US. They had son Joseph S. in 1851 on ship. Joseph married Mary Ann Martin in New York and had son Rudolph (Ralph)Harvey Gregory Whitbread in 1892. There were no doubt other children, possibly one for whom you search as informatiaon seems similar.The Joseph born 1820 had brothers Thomas, Henry, Samuel,William, James, George. Thomas and Henry also emigrated to US. These people were no doubt related in an obscure way to Samuel of the brewery as they all came from same areas of Bedfordshire.
