Tom, I have also tried numerous times to answer you via E-mail, and the messages are always returned. I guess I will just have to post the message here. John Crane Witbeck is my husbands great, great grandfather through his daughter Altanah/Altina/"TEEN" Witbeck. Her mother was John C.'s second wife, Susan Melverton or Roper (maiden name). John and Susan had 10 other children. 2 died young. If you cannot get my E-mail to go through, write to me on this forum. (Be sure to put the hyphen and no spaces in my address. Your address has a space in it, but my computer will not send it that way.) I have info on other wives/children and families, but am always looking for more. A cousin, Ellyn Preas, grandau of John C.'s son, William, is compiling a decendancy book and would love more info. Best Wishes, Carma
